Eula Jean, daughter of Mildred (Hall) and Aaron Luther Murrow was born on May 19, 1926 at Dacoma, Oklahoma. She passed away at the Alva Share Medical Center on September 29, 2010 at the age of 84 years, 4 months and 10 days.
She attended the Dacoma grade school and graduated High School with the class of 1944. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Northwestern State College on May 25, 1962.
Miss Murrow was married to Robert (Bob) Nida on March 30, 1947 in Dacoma. To their marriage two sons, Steve and Rob, were born. Mr. Nida passed away July 31, 1995. Jean taught school 30 years, teaching in Woods County, Avard, Dacoma, Capron, and Alva. She retired in 1986.
Following their marriage they lived on a farm west of Alva. In 1953 they moved to Alva and Bob continued farming and ranching.
Mrs. Nida was a member of the First Baptist Church, and Wheat Land Republican Women.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a nephew, Randy Murrow.
Jean is survived by her two sons and their wives, Steve and Gayla of Broken Arrow and Rob and Pat, of Alva; six granddaughters, Nikki and her husband Kyle Wilson, Heidi, Hillary, Haley, a grandson Matthew and his wife Jessica, Marissa and her husband Mike Fairbanks of Vine Grove, Kentucky and Kendra Lorenz of Broken Arrow; eight great grandchildren and a brother and his wife, W. Dean and Verda Murrow.
